Celebrity Profile:
Benjamin Butler

Artist

Ben spent last year in New Year designing sets for music videos featuring such stars as TLC, Big Pun, Save Ferris, and Moby. He is currently a senior at Bowdoin College in Maine re-manipulating 120,000+ lbs of railroad ties weekly around his campus.
FinalBuzzer: How did you become interested in basketball?
Ben Butler: Well, there's this Jeff Koons piece in the early 80's - a Nike poster featuring Moses Malone called "Moses". Since then, the sport's geometry has fascinated me.

FB: Who's gonna win it all?
BB: The Bowdoin women made it right? Or was it the men? Maybe Louisville. Or another school with a consanant featured consecutively in their name. I like my family's house in Wisconsin. They might win.

FB: Any teams you don't like?
BB: I love the complexity involved in the Stanford tree logo, because their mascot is the Cardinal, right? Cardinals are ass.

FB: Any players you're looking forward to watching?
BB: I went to camp with Gerry Cohen, who's at one of D2 Dakota schools now. Fabulous vision, tremendous artist. Don't know if Gerry is on the team anymore. That might have been a couple years ago.

FB: Would you consider yourself more of a 3-point shooter or slam-dunker, in figurative terms?
BB: A 3-point shooter. I was always the kid that sat out in right field in little league games picking dandelions. I'm not very confrontational, but I do happen to have a black belt in Karate.
